Models, Urban Landscapes, and Old Tea Bags

While James regularly shoots for an Instafabulous roster of models and influencers from Toronto to Montreal and all around the world, he’s known to give just as much creative energy to his edits of urban landscapes and shots of “ordinary” objects like old tea bags hanging from a bike, the latter of which he portrays as weary old souls.

Brian’s creative eye in editing is often likened to “a portal to a new dimension.” In his shot shown above middle, for instance, a city at night is turned into a heart-stopping warning. “Citizens of the earth take note. Earth as you know it is ending.” writes James in his caption of the shot on his Instagram feed as a monstrous moon looms above the city. “The time to leave is now.”

Brian admits that what drew him to photography as a full-time profession was his deep love of story-telling and the thrill of creating the finished product. “I’m very lucky.” James says, “I’ve been fortunate to have great success in this field. I’m proud that I taught myself this demanding craft and am able to use it to showcase others’ creative expressions. I can’t wait to see how the book is received when it comes out in the Spring.”
