The Dr. Barbara Seniors Harkins Foundation, a non-profit organization specializing in Afterschool Media Programs for kids and youth, has announced that the 2020 Filmmaking and Digital Photography Workshop has moved to online. The organization representative, Elisia Harkins-James, explained, “Our 2020 Filmmaking and Digital Photography will be available online only, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and for health and safety. We have several virtual filmmaking and digital photography to be followed online. Our programs for youth and kids, including Film Screenings, Lunch With a Pro/Filmmaking Workshops, Digital Photography For Kids- Workshop, and Digital Photography Afterschool.”
The 2020 Film workshops are going Virtual for the Fall Semester. According to the organization representative, this workshop is being presented with a Special Presentation from Television and Film Directors for once a month. This fall filmmaking workshop is going to be a virtual workshop. At the film screening workshop, the participants will discuss film production as well as Q & A sessions with production team members or actors from the film. Past film workshops are team members from famous movies, such as King of Peking, Hugo, Princess and The Frog, and many more.
Other virtual workshops are Digital Photography for Kids and Digital Photography Afterschool. The participants will learn how to use a DSLR camera, capture interesting moments, use a DSLR as a manual camera, and many more. The next virtual workshop is Digital Photography Afterschool. The participants will learn the fundamental operations, techniques, and composition of digital photography. They will learn how to use shutter speed, aperture, image quality, composition, and many more. Professional photographers will teach the workshop, and the program also covers post-production software such as photoshop as well as Photography Virtual Gallery Showing of their work.
